The Stairway to the Distant Past (1995) The second entry in the Maiku Hama trilogy, now in color. And HOLY SHIT. This one starts off as a light comedic romp with our eccentric private eye, and then it spirals into a feverishly strange nightmare descent into the traumas of post-occupation Japan.

I own them all. I recommend them all though I haven’t seen two of them yet. But A Samurai In Time and Beyond The Infinite Two Minutes are highly recommended. I like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, it’s a really beautiful film, but prefer the anime.

ABSOLUTELY one of the best revenge films out there. This is 100% a recommended buy. Great, great movie 👌🏻👌🏻
