Thing I do love about Ōtepoti Dunedin; the Octagon / part of Stuart Street gets closed off for events quite regularly in the weekend (must be around once a month over summer) without much protest. Something that’s almost unimaginable for Queen street in Auckland.

For reference Auckland is around 2,000. Most of Europe is quite dark due to being so far north. The main problem is winter. 50°N is around the middle of this picture, so you only get like 8h of daylight per day, and even then the sun only rises to just under 20° above the horizon.
