I think it’s also important for me to note that, from what I know, Dwayne wanted the vertical to be renamed “VICE Games” so we would not be operating under the Waypoint name My understanding is that Savage Ventures demanded we continue writing under the name “Waypoint”

While Dwayne can't say much, I can. He's a literal saint in this field. I've never had a boss who has cared about their friends as much as he has, and I think that's what hurts the most about this whole situation. You've made a friend for life, brother. Thank you for being our shields.

I will also be leaving Waypoint. I have a couple obligations to PR folks I want to fulfill. After that, I'm done. I can't sit back and watch Savage Ventures silence Ana and stifle actual journalism out of fear of being "too controversial".

In an act of solidarity with @acvalens.net I am resigning from my role at VICE/Savage Ventures, with my final day being July 31. I have a few review obligations that I wouldn't feel right leaving behind. But I cannot stand by and watch her be censored for doing her job and doing it properly.
