Suspending a primary election days before early voting starts just so you can redraw the maps to disenfranchise Black and brown voters is a perfect example of the lengths Republican politicians will go to rig our democracy in their favor.

Cannot stress enough that what's happening now and will accelerate over next few weeks is a big spike in fuel costs paid for by every American that will flow *directly* into insane, unprecedented profits for American oil companies. They're going to be the big winners of this.

🤬 The Supreme Court, in a 6–3 decision driven by white Christian nationalism, just gutted one of the last functional tools of the Voting Rights Act, raising the bar so high that states can redraw maps that dilute the political power of Black, Latino, Native, Asian, and other minority voters.

So many people urge us to vote if we are dissatisfied with our democracy. And yes voting matters. But as today’s Supreme Court ruling tells us, it’s not that simple. Not everyone who should have the right to vote can exercise that right.
