Okay, heads up to everyone considering downloading the new free version of Affinity: they make you sign up for a Canva account, and they absolutely collect a lot of data, including for AI training. If you must use Affinity, turn off everything on the "Personal privacy" page. Orgs, take note.

So...instead of becoming a competitor to Adobe, Canva swallowed up Affinity and basically released their shit website as an app and attached the name Affinity to it and gave it an even more shit logo. You get more "features" (ai) if you sign up for canva's premium subscription. www.affinity.studio

I saw something recently that said a strategy for adhd is you just need to commit to doing 30%. The full scope of 100% of a project is just too overwhelming. So just start with some thumbnails or sketches for now and then commit to another 30% another day or week. Any progress IS progress

After loads of clicking through menus and updating Windows etc, I've managed to sign up for ESU for Windows 10. I really hope that Microsoft walks back it's policy in the next year because wtf guys.

I changed teams at work and this week has had at least one 30 minute meeting every day this week. Mostly for training on a new e-learning platform I haven't used before. I've used up all my social spoons. This continues next week and I'm supposed to be going away next weekend.

October is super close! I don't think I'll have the time to commit a drawing a day but I do want to use the *spirit* of artober to make some new artwork. Sadly inktober is a thing of the past, it was fun while it lasted.

It's rather frustrating that most drawing, animation and graphic design software doesn't work on linux. If heard positive things about mint and I was thinking of switching to it to avoid windows 11. I've found a way to extand using windows 10 safely but it's a temporary measure 😑

Going to keep posting pics and vids of this because I've never seen this large a walkout at this level of diplomatic relations.

The carelessness of some pet owners is shocking. Our walk got cut short today when partner and I realised someone's teenage pup was following us. We doubled back, looking for a possible owner (too many people walk their dogs off leash), no one claimed the dog.
