It was hard to pick a winner for 2024. I did have fun with this year's three contenders, but I must admit, there was one book in particular that I enjoyed slightly more than the rest. Just a matter of personal taste🤷‍♂️ Behold the 2024 FIFROTY Winner!

I did enjoy The Diplomat S2, even more than I did S1. As usual, Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell) was my favorite character. With that ending, I can't wait for S3!

Arcane S2: Though I enjoyed S1 more than this one, Arcane remains the most complete fantasy show this year. Characters, animation, soundtracks, action sequences: all were great. Some flashbacks were just perfection 👌

As you may know, I'm honored to be part of the crew summoned by @dominishbooks.bsky.social for The Advent of Winter. Frozen Hell is about a family trying to survive the wrath of some mad titan by sticking together. But according to our MC, mad titans might not be his biggest concern👀

Random fact: half of the reviewers who 5-starred Reign of Demons had given 4 stars to—at least—one of the previous books in the series. Says something about the finale, don't you think? Maybe the payoff is worth it after all?

Let's not forget that in October, I concluded my 2nd fantasy series. Also this happened in October: "An amazing conclusion. This entire series has been an epic fantasy thrill ride and it went out fighting! With immersive writing and deep world building, I’ve loved every page."
