The combat of Shallie is growing on me. It emphasizes switching out to allow back party members to heal. It also still has the writing elements I like in Atelier. I just beat the sand dragon and seeing both mcs talk to each other about their dreams and working together to reach them makes me happy

The Dusk Atelier games are fascinating to me combat wise because they have me googling how to handle bosses and improve weapons and its not something I ever needed to do in the Arland games or most JRPGs in general really. These games are challenging and really push you with its bosses!

Here's where we're at

I enjoyed the game awards a lot but that might be because I was drunk and every time Clair Obscur won an award I got bitten really hard

I'm pretty bad at sticking with things especially if I purrsonally didn't take interest in it but let's give this a try anyways. Recommend me games furriends

Despite my fun I might take a short break from the series once I finish Escha & Logy so I don't burn myself out doing these games back to back. Toying with the idea of trying to get back into Rune Factory 5 or maybe finally going through Death Stranding

I'm pretty close to beating Escha & Logy and overall I'd say it's a mechanical and graphical improvement but isn't as strong on the story front as Ayesha. Working towards exploring the unexplored ruins wasn't as meaningful as working to save my sister. Just finished building the airship.

Can we stop pretending digital releases of tv and film are real? Even though we've normalized it for music purchases, almost no sites that host tv and film offer drm free direct downloads of purchased digital copies

The more I play Escha & Logy the less excited I am about it. Yes it is an upgrade in several ways over Ayesha, but its lacking a definitive goal. In Ayesha, the plot had me working to rescue my missing sister right from the start. Escha & Logy its more like I'm just a government worker doing jobs
