My favorite Redford film is definitely Three Days of the Condor. It really captured the paranoia of the intelligence world as well as the NYC of the 70’s. Plus also a sneaky good pre- digital tech film. #HTM

Plus Sneakers and War Games — another prescient cyber film — were both written and produced by the same person, Walt Parkes. He’s appeared at several cybersecurity conferences and always gets a warm welcome. #HATM

It’s definitely the latter especially as it is post-Cold War. Nearly everyone I know in the cybersecurity field considers Sneakers to be a great film. Not an easy crowd to please! HATM

Really important to be clear here: While the drumbeat of news and the locations of patients may sound like this virus is spreading, all of the cases so far were on the ship. That’s exactly what you’d expect from a virus that doesn’t easily spread human to human but found the right environment.

It's easy to be cynical about horse racing and justifiably so, but then the Derby comes along and it's just, wow.

That's a great stat but I'm going to vote for Bobby Orr, simply because he was so very rare -- an athlete who truly changed the game they played. There was hockey before Orr and hockey after, and they were two different games. Horse racing was the same before Secretariat and the same after.
