2025 was brutal for games media, but I'm seeing some glimmers of hope as worker-owned sites like @aftermath.site, @rascal.news, and @giantbomb.bsky.social have carved out vital spaces in the games community. Finally had a chance to build my Christmas pressie and it was much fun! I do appreciate the detail Lego put into these sets with a moveable cross pad, buttons and volume and contrast knobs all present in this one.

Saw the latest Mission Impossible last night and it’s a weird one. There were a couple of stand out action moments but it all was wrapped around this somber atmosphere that never left. The score certainly didn’t help, especially with saving the Mission Impossible theme to the end credits.
