I feel I haven't praised Fate of the Damned enough. The level The Night Has a Thousand Eyes, beyond having an awesome name, it's one of the best - if not THE best city map ever done for Blood. It features a train system you use to move between places and also reach other important areas. Incredible!

The first level of the "Fate of the Damned" Blood mod named "Last Communion" recreates part of the original cgi cinematic intro but in realtime with sprites... and it's beautiful. The level itself is pretty immersive too, lots of environmental storytelling.

Out for Blood level design reminds me a bit of Super Mario 64 levels: large open areas to explore with a few more detailed spots where you can find key items. BloodyTom went 50-50 with a more traditional Blood level design with What Lies Beneath which I find way, way more satisfying
