Today’s game of #02:00Hours where I had a go with the French Resistance, I got really lucky and by the end of the game I had destroyed four of the five objectives, which was really great since in previous games, I had generally died horribly just getting to the objectives.

The forces assembled for our latest game of #Baron’sWar down at #CLWC. It started off swimmingly with a build up of forces on left flank, it very quickly went to pot as my Baron and his retinue was cut down by humbling slingers as he tried to fight his way to have single combat with his opponent.

Those guys look great Tom, they would be great addition to anyone’s collection.

A hot Monday night at #CLWC, saw a game of #SharpPractice where French & British Forces encountered each other on the edge of the woods. In an effort to negate the powerful British line with a flanking movement came to nought, as the British weight of fire prevailed. #spreadthelard.

Met up at #CLWC for a second game of #02:00Hours, really enjoyed it, it was a great fun, although I was far too impatient and alerted the Germans to my presence far too early by winging a guard, from then on it was a fruitless firefight with little prospect of success.

Down at #CLWC we had the finale of our #SavageWorlds pulp weirdoes game based in 1920s Post-Mandate Syria. My one eyed, one armed French adventurer faced off a gang of marauders & an armoured car, with a swash buckling all or nothing charge. With help from other characters he just about survived.

That was a some introduction to #ChainofCommand2. A German Pioneer assault on French fortifications in May 1940. Made bit of a pig’s ear of the first game, the Germans advanced up the flank in to the village in the first round. Putting pressure on poorly placed objectives markers. #spreadthelard.

Over the weekend I managed a very quick game of #Carnevale where I introduced my recently painted #HouseofVirtue starter gang to the #Strigoi. Both the Madame & the Dancer proved their credentials as pistol packing, stiletto welding assassins. Making short work of a Reaper & a Newborn Strigoi.

Tonight saw a clash of steel in a second #Baron’sWar game down at #CLWC. The game started cautiously as both sides sized each other up across a contested village. In this doubles game we were getting to grips with the ‘you go I go’ mechanics and the various reactions that are available to units.
