It was a real pleasure to have the opportunity to get involved in The Great Cavalry Battle of Liebertwolkwitz (14th October, 1813) organised by Ian, Richard & Ted using the Emperor of the Battlefield #Napoleonic rules which suit cavalry actions very well.

A really interesting action at #Cavalier #Wargames Show depicting the Polish raid on Fraustadt, 2 September 1939 put on by Deal Wargames Association, I appreciate the #20mm scale and the time they spent explaining the finer points of guarding the German/Polish Frontier.

As ever @mrcthegooner.bsky.social and the lads from Shepway Wargames Club put on an amazing looking game down at #Cavalier, this year it’s a War of the Roses game using Nevermind the Billhooks.

Today’s game of #SkirmishRagers was an action packed encounter where the #Zombies were successful in turning two survivors, bringing to an end the journey of ‘Machete Guy’ & ‘Tank Girl’ as they failed to make it over the bridge to safety.

Currently recovering after #WinterWonderLard yesterday! 🤪 'The Dojjibotti Run' Indian Mutiny #SharpPractice game went well and everyone said they enjoyed it. Didn't get a chance to see much else but feedback overwhelmingly positive. Thanks to everyone who put a game on or attended. #SpreadTheLard

My afternoon game at #WinterWonderLard was a spectacular Indian Mutiny encounter using #SharpPractice a range of different troop types from cavalry, militia to regulars & conscripts played a part, all with lots of characterisation. This resulted in a fun filled battle going right down to the wire.

This weekend’s #WinterWonderLard in Bristol was brilliant fun, got to have a go at #FlashingBlades for the first time. Many thanks to Dave Hunter for putting on such a a fantastic & entertaining game. #spreadthelard.

Today we had a “one off” go at scenario 19 of the Winter Storm #ChainofCommand campaign. The German Panzer Grenadiers raced to capture the bridge over Mushkova River. After a successful Patrol Phase they deployed flanking the bridge. #spreadthelard.

Dear Santa…

Today was about Hussars in the Sudan desert. Holding until the right moment, they sprang into action akin to a verse from a Newbolt poem in our Victorian game.They charged into the rear of units of warriors scattering them, wheeling around to confronting camel cavalry & chasing them off too.

This weekend’s painting project, (between rugby games), some Soviet Naval Infantry, Scouts & leaders in #20mm for #ChainofCommand. Very pleased how they’ve turned out, nice variations in uniforms & equipment. #spreadthelard.
