A bit of research material for the SSBN rewrites. Having a local independent bookshop within walking distance is great but it's going to cost me a lot!

Looks like this weekend I'll be packing envelopes in preparation for shipping games.

Things I can now add to my list of life experiences: Getting stuck in a lift and needing to call an emergency engineer out. Thankfully I was only trapped for about 20 minutes as the engineer was already on his way to campus to fix a different lift.

Today is turning rapidly turning into a blast synthwave into my brain to get through mindless tasks. Except I forgot to pick up my good headphones and I'm in an open plan office space so instead I'm relying on caffeine to fuel my focus and awaiting the inevitable crash.

With The Words We Leave Behind at the printers I'm finally getting around to working on SSBN again by running through a series of test draws that have already highlighted how rough the current ashcan is.

I got a pasta roller for Christmas and gave it a first try today - the results were delicious 😋

I hate the moment before putting in a new print order, the impossible to avoid thought of "have I screwed something up and am about to waste a lot of money" is absolutely terrifying.

It may be wet and windy on the Wirral but had a good mooch around the Brimstage Christmas market followed by popping into Bebington to visit the trio of Bulwark Games, Kraken Comics and Paper & Word - a great combination all in close proximity.

I reckon it's about 50/50 whether I'll have my latest ashcan with me at Dragonmeet. If I do it'll be rough, cheap and barely tested. I suspect the next version will involve rewriting most of the text.
