I'd consider myself an AI skeptic, but I find it strange when people bring up the copyright system as an anti-AI argument. Even if AI-created works did lead to the end of copyright, I'm not sure it'd be such a catastrophe. Recipes are not copyrightable, yet there are plenty of restaurants around.

I don't 100% agree with that stance, but it does show why concentrating so much of the modern open-source frontend ecosystem under one roof is problematic – and this is something I've been worried about since the recent Nuxt.js announcement from a couple months ago.

After a couple years with RSCs, the decision to make them the default in Next.js still doesn't quite make sense to me. They're great as on-the-spot helpers for data loading, but once you start using them as leaf components you now need to maintain client/server versions of a lot of your app logic.
