A new poll from YouGov & @abundanthousingma.org showed 59% of Massachusetts voters support allowing middle-housing like duplexes, triple-deckers & townhomes anywhere that single-family housing can be built. That number jumped to 76% support among ages 18-34 & 72% among ages 35-49.

When housing is too expensive and families are getting squeezed out. You need someone who can push policy change into reality. We can do this. From legalizing starter homes to granny flats, from tenant protections to investing in affordable housing, there's a lot of real solutions we can pursue.

People including a @bostonglobe.com columnist are lamenting the loss of a longstanding gas station in Jamaica Plain, and its replacement with 230 new homes. No wonder we simultaneously crises in both housing and climate.

That is to say, if a city is having property tax issues, incentivizing new housing & commercial dev is one way to increase revenue potentially w/out raising individual residential taxes or prop 2.5 override
