if you're looking to learn martial arts for self defense in a protest scenario, judo is a really good idea. it's MUCH easier to learn trips, throws, how to use your weight, breakfalls, scrambles, etc than to learn striking. striking is great but it takes a lot longer to achieve proficiency

My new #C64 #RPG: been working on some combat spell effects, so here's what I have for a lightning spell (and yes, I do need to increase the damage it does😉).😀

I'm a bit conflicted on the use of momentum in platformers. On one hand, it makes everything look and feel smooth and natural, satisfying... as opposed to just coming to a sudden start/stop during movement. On the other hand, just barely sliding off of the end of a platform and into the abyss sucks.
