I went for a 2 hour walk before packing for my return to 🇨🇦 from Lima and passed by a Nikkei restaurant (Japanese/Peruvian cuisine ).It was great.The size of fish sashimi (robalo) were gigantic.The maki acevichado was immense and the crawfish nigiri was delicate and delicious.🍽️ @vrobert7.bsky.social

Yesterday I walked by the Peruvian MD regulatory body (Colegio Medico Del Peru 🇵🇪). Is the mustard coloured building. Outside are hundreds of photos of MDs posted. They are the Peruvian heroes of the COVID pandemic . So sad to see how many perished serving their country. 😭😔

Went to the Port El Callao in Lima and visited some old houses but also the pretty rough beach where I used to swim . Rocky and full of currents. My favourite. Found also old heavy fisherman’s boats. This area was mostly settled by Italians. 🥰🥹

Today we visited the oldest house of the Americas. Belonging to the Aliaga family since its construction in 1535 in the main square in Lima. Amazingly it has survived earthquakes, wars and terrorism. Extremely well kept. Gorgeous 🥰♥️
