It has been a fantastic day watching my graduate student, Noelle Patterson, successfully defend her Master’s Thesis! She gave an excellent presentation & wrote an excellent document. I’m so grateful to have worked with her for my first 2 years as an Assistant Professor. We will miss her in the lab!

Today I submitted my first conference proposal as a PI with just me and my students on it. That feels SO darn cool!
