One of my party facts is that according to polls, Americans believe foreign aid is about 25% of the federal budget and on average that it *should* be about 10%. The actual number is less than 1%. Foreign aid has long been a boogey man of the right, so it's not surprising they're vilifying it now.

Because they are evil, we must stand up to them. But because they are also stupid, we needn’t be afraid to.

Let there be no doubt we will stand up for all of our children and families. We will follow our state laws that protect the immigrant communities that live, work, and thrive in Illinois. Know your rights and plan.

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and had an idea for a post that was going to be the funniest thing I’ve ever posted. It was 30 Rock themed. I was so proud of myself and knew I’d remember in the morning. Reader, I do not remember. This has haunted me all day.
