Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw. The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

The winter months are heavy with loss for me so I think I'll be making my grief more of a priority in this space. It's been more than 14 years since my surrogate father died of lung cancer. Heres 2 of the only photos I have with him I wonder about what he would think of adult me

Hate that my work life was actively falling apart when we had reason to hope for a few days I find hope in young people and in organizing. If you dont have a connection to one or both yet, I suggest finding one. 1 decent election night does not fix this bullshit

Went to Indivisible Baltimore County's rally against County Exec Kathy Klausmeier's MOU with the ICE/DHS There were many good speakers, but as a former Catholic, this struck me "It is faithless and cowardly not to be political" - Rev. John S. Ballenger from Woodbrook Baptist Church

Join me at the Avelo protest tomorrow in Annapolis! They're the only passenger airline that flies deportation flights. Governor Moore should kick them out of BWI (and weve got 12,000+ petition signatures to motivate him)

Rodney Taylor still needs our help! He’s still locked in an ICE camp. He’s still going without his new prosthetic legs. He’s still facing deportation to Liberia. He’s still having necessary disability accommodations ignored. Please keep sharing his story. Public pressure works!

Rodney Taylor was days away from receiving new prosthetic legs when ICE grabbed him. He’s been detained for more than 8 months. They won’t allow him to get his new legs & put him in solitary confinement. He needs the disability community’s help! His petition just hit 3,000… keep it going!
