The lift contractor is now on site and north lift, which has been out of action since 28 May is getting fixed but we hope this will be a long term solution.The fact remains that this has been poorly managed over many years and thousands of users severely compromised. @greenwichtunnel.bsky.social

It is indeed. For commuters, parents taking children to schools on either side, shoppers and many tourists who love the vista from the north side looking across to the Royal Naval College- 4k users a day. Unfortunately neither lift is working today and the north lift has been broken since May.

A very busy day with the Half marathon with many users in the foot tunnel. There’s a complete disregard from the lift contractor and the Council who havent even bothered with the basics to ensure the public is warned about the lift not working on the north side. Is it time for TfL to take control?

This app will be useful for disabled people. 😎 Yes the tunnel really needs to be well managed. Not prioritising the maintenance and accessibility of walking/ wheeling/ cycling infra is a national issue. Majorly encroaching trees/ shrubs, broken glass, street clutter are a constant battle.

🚽 New public toilets are now open at White Hart Lane and Seven Sisters!    After years of campaigning, I persuaded the Mayor to invest £3 million a year for five years to install more toilets across the Tube and Overground.   This is a big win for everyone who helped me make the case.

The Silvertown Cycle Shuttle (SCS) takes 10-12mins and runs every 12 mins. It took me just six minutes through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel and that's walking my bike, navigating the Lime Bike graveyard and lumping it down and up the stars (both lifts broken again).

Transport for London has confirmed that Cutty Sark station will close next month so all four of its escalators can be replaced. Passengers have endured disrupted journeys for at least four years, with all four escalators at the station breaking down.
