Regarding paper in Cell from Jessica Spinelli on rhodoquinone (RQ) in mammalian mitochondria. The implication is that the lower reduction potential will allow SDH to run to fumarate more easily under hypoxic conditions. The introduction of RQ in vivo was elegant and gave pharmacological effects.
