Whole sets of ppl have been told that the history of human culture doesn’t matter, & that for anything to be worthwhile it needs to be “new.” It is a special form of naïveté.

This school year I've had to put a lot of things on hold, specifically any work on math history and the classroom. It was really hard to do, but with temporarily letting go I have been able to experience new things, learn, connect with people, fail, grow, and yearn to return to the niche I love.

Applying for masters programs, and it asks if I'm cis or trans or choose not to say. I don't know how much I like that this is a question on the application; feels weird.
