Even with plot armor Willow dies a few times. It would drive Ysayle completely mad if we took away the echo because of how frequently Willow would overestimate herself, underestimate her enemy, or do something stupid and not have the story to back her up

Most occasions, Willow's inferiority complex keeps her from getting mad. Her tendency to blame herself usually means she gets down on herself instead of mad at someone else. However, on the occasions where she does get mad... run.

Aftermath (4/16)

Even though it holds a lot of tragic memories for her, Garlemald. The weather is reminiscent of Ishgard, but the architecture is reminiscent of Amaurot. Willow wishes she could've seen it in its prime - a shining city amidst the tundra. She doesn't live there because of what she is to the people.
