The only operational #Class141 'Pacer' in the country. Midland Railway - Butterley plays host to a terrific mix of rolling stock in varying stages of upkeep, but this one is a unique item now. Hopefully they run another DMU gala so I can sample the 141 🫡 🚅: 141113, at Butterley shed.

This week the Northern Brigg line passenger service has been cancelled due to engineering work in the Sheffield area. A rail replacement bus service between Retford and Cleethorpes was planned. We are aware that for the last 3 days this service has not run. We have asked for an investigation

Let's hope that Brigg and Kirton-in-Lindsey are included in this offer, as they have been missed off for a number of years and it is communities like this that deserve the chance to catch a train.

📌 Kirton Lindsey After getting a bus at 8:30am from Lincoln, I decided to spend some time at KTL before going down the Brigg Line to Grimsby! Surprisingly there was another passenger... it's almost like there is demand for the Brigg Line *cough cough OLR* Obligatory @iblrg.bsky.social shout-out 😁

Pains me to say it but these are actually growing on me. They have superb acceleration which caught @tdlovestrains.bsky.social by surprise 😁 Just a shame they are a bit bland in the noise department, certainly comparable to what we loved on the Cross City before them

In the latest RAIL Magazine, which is available from all good newsagents price £4.85. We set the challenge, for anything worse than the approach to Brigg station, which land has come under the remit of North Lincolnshire Council since 1997.

Thanks @iblrg.bsky.social for your latest timetable. The Brigg service is one return service Mon-Fri, but IBLRG puts its heart and soul into promoting and trying to improve it, as they did for the previous Sat only train. A candidate if you're looking for an unusual winter weekday wander.
