This. I totally get people being cautious because of how many times they ended up disappointed, but the "you're stupid if you think this is what the games will look like" attitude is completely unfounded, only good for contrarians who will never change their mind and grifters.

I've never been into builders-type games, but the more I see about Pokopia the more intrigued I am, to the point it might feel a bit overwhelming (hopefully it's easy to pace yourself before things start spiraling out of control).

My biggest issue with Nintendo presentations in general is the baby talk. Do little kids actually watch directs at all? It's not like I'm offended or anything, it's just annoying.

I know I should expect people to have literally every opinion, but I'm astonished by the amount of Pokémon accounts with large followings echoing: "we liked the constant games output actually, and the visual compromises were a fair trade". How? Is this what consumerism does to people's brains?

Pokémon has always found itself caught up between being extremely successful yet not perceived to be as good as *the good games*, while the Switch generation violently swerved the public opinion into the outright "bad game" territory. This abrupt potential renaissance feels weird, yet so refreshing.

This is a very preliminary gut feeling, but gen 10 gives me these vibes. I'm a huge fan of the natural/tropical/seafaring aspect of Pokémon. Gen 3 is among my favourites, gen 7 always had a ton of unfulfilled potential, New Snap almost scratched that itch but it's not a mainline...

In gen 5 and 8 I usually drop my starter in the box once it's evolved and never use it tho lol, hopefully that won't be the case for gen 10 (Gecqua is my current pick but I might change it depending on the evos)

See, it's not about cutting edge graphics, textures are still kinda ass but I still like the overall look of Winds and Waves. It doesn't matter if it's not perfect, the visual feel is good and promising. I never needed Pokémon to be top tier, I just wanted to be visually engaged.
