In the Mastenbos near Kapellen (Belgium) there is a nice piece of the Antwerpenstellung that was made in WW1 by the Germans, it was built far form the real battlegrounds in France and Flanders. It was to prevent a Allied attack over the river Scheld to capture Antwerp and its harbours.

Al these holes are not supposed to be here, but here they are. From a distance these are small targets, imagen all the rounds that did not hit these turrets. So many hits but not many rounds (just one or two) that penetrated the 25cm armour. Must have been a hell of a noise when hit.

The German Festung Saint Malo got to have the most type 504 (AT Gungarage with crewroom) most of them are still there, and some of them are beauties in the way how they are situated in the surrounding landscape.
