I changed the way I work a couple of months ago to follow this advice, it made a big difference and my productivity went up by miles. (I don't know who made this image, if you do, let me know so they can be credited)

I wanna do some game dev but Rimworld is about to update and I have this super engaging run to finish. It started off as a lone faun surviving the mechanoid apocalypse, now we're striving operation working to bring down the Empire together with deserters. It's sooo good it's ridiculous

Last week I found out that I can toy with the idea of neutral enemies and it works pretty well out of the box. Uneasy alliance definitely spiced up the encounter, even if ultimately they led to my demise π

Last playtest we figured out that spearman didn't have a lot going on in actual battles, she constantly does stuff but it hardly matters to the players. So I added tracking to stab attacks and man does that change a lot... π³
