People go to Hatsune Miku concerts and I'm afraid to ask what the setlist even is. Isn't she a DAW plugin? Aren't her songs composed by a bunch of unrelated producers? Who holds the rights to them? Would you go to see a Roland TR-808 concert? I might.

I've never really liked the superhero Space Marine thing you see in books and videos. I think it's grimmer (and funnier) that if some dipshit space marine sergeant misfires his plasma pistol and explodes it represents a major loss for humanity because neither the gun or the dipshit can be replaced.

A really funny thing to me about 'Dawn of Victory' is that the Nordic Warrior talks a lot of shit but seemingly only fights like one battle with The Emerald Sword before losing it and basically never getting it back.

A lot of 'innate talent' (in any field, really) is mostly invisible practice you got as a dumb kid. I drew literally hundreds of pages of comics on scrap paper between the ages of 9 and 14 and I still didn't get good at it until my mid 20s (lol)

A valuable lesson we learn from 'Fixed'(2025) is that we no longer need John K. The John K we have at home is a better John K; better at being what John K was trying to be.

I'm kind of hoping that the Hunter x Hunter 2024 workflow catches on as a standard. Pre-producing what is essentially a graphic novel length tankobon during a hiatus and 'then' serializing it over the course of a season strikes me as totally reasonable.
