My wife is currently chatting w two women down the bar that she heard are from Pittsburgh but live in Vermont and work at a ski resort and getting me a free lift ticket 😂. She’s the most gregarious people-person I’ve ever met.

My daughter is having her first sleepover with my high school friend’s kids and I just feel like time needs to slooow down.

I wrote about Daniel O'Connell for the upcoming RTÉ documentary, airing sometime after Christmas. Biggest takeaway from all the time I've spent with O'Connell? Despite his many flaws the moral clarity of his politics is worthy of emulation, especially in our age of rightwing resurgence. 🗃️
