Went to see the Victory Verticals - specially made pianos shipped to WWII combat zones for troop morale. Steinway couldn’t make pianos using raw materials and switched to making parts for Waco CG-4A troop transport gliders. Then the U.S. commissioned Steinway to produce these pianos. /1

A couple months ago, @deboboy.bsky.social & I went on a short vacation. We agreed not to take screens, except phones, and not to use them unless needed. The mental reset was noticeable. Not just being away from home, but away from tapping the screen for the reward. /1

In some other countries pelvic floor PT is a standard part of postpartum care. It is not in the US for every pregnancy. I know people who had especially difficult births who weren’t told about this option and are surprised to discover its benefits. PS, it’s helpful for more than postpartum.
