I dabble in the local Dems organization. Let's say my name is Pedro. There is another Dem activist in our area also named Pedro. When people email "Pedro," it's not uncommon for me to get his emails and vice versa. It happened again today. I should just go by "Borracho."

I'm watching this based-on-real-life movie in which Saddam Hussein is trying to embezzle $1B from the UN. Today, our orange-colored POTUS is trying to get a $10B dollar settlement from the IRS payed for by the American people. He'll probably get it. Saddam underplayed his hand.

My vacation is over. I have to log in to work tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it. I'm months away from starting my next (final) phase of life. I wish it were tomorrow.

We're at the Sacramento airport collecting our luggage. All done traveling for now. Man, I'm pooped out.

It's a small world, after all. After our lunch at SFO, we ran into a local congressional candidate (and former Jeopardy! Champion and USMC officer).

We're back in the Golden State (SFO) waiting for a connection to our final destination. We're lunching at a SF Giants themed pub. At these prices, it better be good.

Almost done in DC. Gotta get some late night sustenance prior to our O-Dark Thirty flight. These are ricotta stuffed donut holes.

Final day of our Washington DC trip. We're waiting for a capitol tour with Sen Alex Padilla staff. I'm kinda excited.

A certain orange colored jerk has been complaining that other nations aren't joining us in the illegal war with Iran. He says they've NEVER helped us. He's an idiot. At the Korean War Memorial are the names of the nations that fought alongside us including Australia, Canada, the UK and many others.

After the day at the capital mall. We visited Martin's Tavern for dinner. It's claim to fame, is that it is the place where JFK proposed to Jackie. Odd note: for most of our dinner. I was the only person of color there, other than the staff. I've not experienced that in a long time.

After the Washington monument, we went to visit the Martin Luther King Jr memorial.

Next up: The Washington Monument. It's taller than you think.

As close as you can get today. Probably a good thing. The locals are representing us all.

We're visiting Old Ebbitt Grill. The oldest bar in DC. Where else would we be?

We also visited the Korean War Memorial and the WWII Memorial. La Doña's father served in both wars. He didn't speak much about his service, but his ribbons and medals tell a story of heroism and bravery.

1st goal met.

DC Day 2 starts with croissants.

Checked in at the hotel. This place is still open.
