I got up and got all the prep done, got the turkey on the smoker, made another batch of rolls, my husband just got up and won’t quit asking if he should have a glass of wine or not. My good bitch, it is 8 in the morning. This is not A Christmas Story, we are not drinking for breakfast.

Today was fun! I took my kid and her friend to deliver meals, breakfasts, frozen meals, and gifts today. Then packed leftovers to freeze for next week, we moved back into the basement- we were assured it is safe, I got 2 more HIGE packages of biscuits, and I made rolls for tomorrow’s beige meal!

I got more deliveries! Another huge thank you to all those that have contributed! This is my small act of kindness that is accessible to all of our volunteers and I am so grateful you all helped me to make this possible! I am absolutely astounded at the kindness you have all shown for what I do. ❤️

What a big day! Had 3 kids over to help prep Thanksgiving dinner. We are cooking for 20 people, our fam and theirs. One kid helped with sweet potato casserole, one cranberry sauce, one pie, one relish, one dressing vegetable mix. Then into the basement to try to clean what we can and pull more rug.

As the holidays draw nigh, here is how I do it. To Christian friends, Merry Christmas. Jewish friends, Happy Hanukkah. Friends who mark Kwanzaa, Happy Kwanzaa. Atheist/Agnostic friends, Happy Holidays. These greetings are expressions of good will. Don't use them as weapons. We have plenty of those.
