A break from checking the sea today produced this fine Shore Lark at Tyninghame, between the north end of the saltmarsh and the end of the sand spit.

Quiet on Holy Island today, some combined totals with Andy Mould were 8 Woodcock & 2 Chiff. The LTT flock still totals 11 with sadly, no nominate caudatus interlopers. Offshore, there was a noticeable 240/hr northerly passage of Kittiwake with 3 Little Gull in the mix

This principle should run through journalism like the words in a stick of rock. Yet somehow, day after day, it seems to evade the BBC's finest minds.

WTF? If this Government canât even agree to this smallest of initiatives, which has no cost to them & absolutely no down-sides, what hope that it will step up to the bigger nature challenges we face? This is a *popular* policy, for heavens sake. Obstinate tin-eared stupidity doesnât come close âŠ
