It is brain breaking how so many people losing their jobs, from Kimmel down to random teachers, aren’t actually making light of his death or praising the killer. they’re just saying they disagreed with the guy, or noting the hysteria over people disagreeing with the guy

It was never about FREE SPEECH. It was always about the protection of HATE SPEECH.

I’m eating a chocolate chip cookie at 9:45am in the Orlando airport and if that doesn’t sum up my life lately, nothing does.

The only thing I know how to do right now is keep creating art with my whole heart and supporting and uplifting the people who need it most. There is still good in this world and I have to believe that.

A friend asked “What do we do now?” And my answer was that we double down on helping those who need it. Keep making art that represents our values. Speak the truth. Walk with pride & dignity. I refuse to believe that the voters who tipped the election voted for cruelty. The backlash will be fierce.

Unfortunately here to report that Hanukkah falling on Christmas means I procrastinated ten times more than I normally would in getting everything together.

Making a lot of ~quiet goals~ for 2025 not in the sense that they’re small, but just that I’m not going to scream about them (but I will continue to not be quiet about manifesting my biggest career/writing goals.) Always optimistic, always doing what I can to chase things.

I know stories like this are heartbreaking, but never forget that these stories are stories that people WANT to tell and stories that people WANT to hear. It takes the force of a billion-dollar company to silence us, and it costs us nothing but a pen and paper to break that silence. Make art.
