Lastly, here are various shots of Neutral, located at the top of Kensington Market, on New Year's Eve 2006. It became Coalition briefly, and then closed in 2013. All of these places were regular haunts of mine over the years, and will be missed.

Some shots of the dancefloor at Velvet Underground (before The Liberty Group took it over). The second shot is the aftermath of the flood from the burst bathroom pipes from upstairs (!). The building is being sold, so no one's quite sure what will become of the space.

Next up, Halloween 2003 at Savage Garden, located between Bathurst and Portland on the north side of Queen West. That's me in the middle of the first image. I went as an MSN Messenger emote. :| This spot became Nocturne briefly, and is now home to a bar called "DND."

A shot of the aforementioned main bar at Funhaus. This was in August of 2003, the night of the Great Blackout that affected the entire East Coast. The boombox on the bar provided the music, and drinks were dirt cheap. It was the best. As were those blue leopard print pants. :D

This spot started off as Zoo Bar (West) in the late 90s. It was then taken over by Lloyd Warren (DJ Lazarus) and some others and became Funhaus. Sometime around 2010, Shoppers Drug Mart expanded and took over the upper floor. You can get greeting cards where the main bar used to be.

Next up, here's an exterior and [blurry] interior shot of Vatikan, circa 2003. It used to be home to Sanctuary, which was a legendary goth bar in the late 90s. It's now a ...bar of some kind(?) called "lobby" according to Google Maps.

First up, this place has undergone several iterations. I can't remember the name of this particular bar, but it was previously called Modesto's in 2002, then this place, then Butler's Pantry, then the Hideout, then Taco Bell. Sadly, it is now a Wendy's.

Ok, so with the last of the old school Queen West nightclubs (Velvet Underground) closing at the end of October, here's a trip back in time looking at some other defunct spots in that general area, from the early 2000s onward.
