Autumn is my favorite time of year, especially in Colorado. Took these photos atop the Grand Mesa in western Colorado this past weekend.

Trump cited “crooked” mail-in voting as a reason to relocate Space Command from Colorado to Alabama. So I talked to Colorado reps from both the GOP (Mesa County Clerk Bobbie Gross, Reps Matt Soper and Janice Rich) and the Dems (Hickenlooper, Bennet, Weiser) who all defended mail-in voting:

It’s impressive that these are two topics worth raising social media hell about and Schumer and his team choose to combine them in the most ineffective way imaginable. Also neat that everyone’s just accepted that childish all-caps Trump-style posting is just how politics is now.

It is absolutely scandalous that the FBI had no insight into or idea about the suspect and the only reason he’s been caught is because the dude just couldn’t shut up. They detained two people who had nothing to do with it and just got lucky that someone confessed on their own accord.

The only thought I’m going to share on Charlie Kirk is the disheartening number of people saying “Well, he didn’t advocate for empathy, so why should I show him any?” Criticize his actions/legacy, but I truly believe the people saying things like the above don’t believe a better world is possible.

So to summarize: — older man is publicly led away in cuffs and everyone shares that he’s a murderer…. who is then released because it wasn’t him — FBI announces someone else is in custody…. who also didn’t do it are you freaking kidding me

It’s a horrible indictment on the state of affairs in this country that this kind of statement from the VP could be interpreted as divisive in any way, regardless of your politics, but some of the responses are disheartening. Our country has to be better than this, man.

This happening at the same time that Charlie Kirk got shot on a different campus a state over feels like a summation of where our country’s at right now. Bleak.
