I actually don’t care whether you, a cis person, think what Emma said about the TERF-in-chief was too forgiving, not forgiving enough, or just right. Spend the five minutes you’re spending crafting your ever so erudite post about it writing to your reps, signing a petition, donating to a trans org.

There are so many pieces of this that I want to pull-quote, but this in particular is so important. Transformative fandom spaces are not without their own ugly biases, but the stories that get "uplifted" into tradpub books only serve to reinforce whose stories are already seen as worthy of telling.

Recognition is no doubt significant but it will be a hollow gesture if the UK does not also seek to end Israel's genocide, illegal occupation, and system of apartheid against the Palestinian people. 🧵1/3
