don't even need the deepEquals since the type will be narrowed by returning the FAIL symbol. so if it's not that, it should be our type

so one of things you can do in typescript is create type predicates that allow you to check if an input value is a specific type with return type `x is Foo`. unfortunately there is nothing that helps you make sure the predicate is accurate - as long as it returns a boolean it will pass

i know our hellthreads on twitter were annoying, invasive, and encumbering to many, but at the same when the algorithm got shitty it was a bastion of peace with dumb, friendly posting about nothing taking the reigns over anything meaningful. even with hundreds of meaningless notifs i was excited

here's the thing. on xitter, for better or for worse i just typed things. i don't care about algorithms or engagement, i just want to spew. here—maybe it's bc i don't have as many posts or whatever reason—but i feel an urge to make the posts meaningful. maybe that's good but it's also not "me".
