I had the flu all week, and although I'm now mostly recovered, my voice is giving Marge Simpson - and I mean later seasons Marge Simpson.

Very rude of My Chemical Romance to announce more UK tour dates and yet put them on sale before I get paid? Did they not think to consult me at all on this?!

Excited for the rapture, especially that finger-popping 24 hour shopping I've heard about.

I really enjoy this clip. The wobbly, handheld video-recorder quality and the crunchy early YouTube upload don't detract from the magic.

That thing where people film videos with their laptop, just lip syncing along to a scene from an old sitcom or something? The bar for 'comedy' in the age of short-form video is so low.

I appreciate that the greatest hits album is a bit of a lost art in the age of playlists but I'm interested to know what people's favourite greatest hits/'best of' records are.

It's a strangely exposing feeling to think that people can follow you on Spotify. Are there people out there who have been keeping tabs on just how much time I spend listening to 'Desperado' by Linda Ronstadt?

Woke up this morning with no plans and ended up seeing St Vincent at the BBC Proms. It's the third time I've seen her live, but perhaps my favourite. She was incredible - as was the orchestra.

Watched a couple of episodes of King & Conqueror, which feels like somebody has tried to pass their Crusader Kings play-through off as a historical drama. The bit where England's Saint King bludgeons his mother to death with a crown was an interesting choice.

I went to see Born with Teeth last night. Quite darkly funny and a very enjoyable watch. I heard somebody describe it as historical fanfic - it's very that.

Okay, but - hear me out, Gwen - what about instead of a contemporary 'Wizard of Oz' remake, No Doubt go on a world tour?

I didn't really do Manchester Pride this year for the first time in about a decade, but I have still ended up covered in glitter. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

My boots have fallen apart and the laces on my trainers just snapped, so if you see me at pride or a music festival this weekend in a sensible office shoe, you know why.

I'm on a mission to play the many Switch games I bought and never completed. First up, Pokémon Scarlet. I chose Fuecoco as my starter. Praying it doesn't evolve into something stupid.

Back in the cheap seats this evening for Stereophonic. I really enjoyed it. Kind of a given because I'm obsessed with a) Fleetwood Mac and b) the endless soap opera that is Fleetwood Mac. The cast were fantastic. (I know it's not about Fleetwood Mac, but it's not not about Fleetwood Mac).

Hungary banned anything that “promotes homosexuality,” which means Pride. However, today over 500,000 people in Budapest told the government to fuck off. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

Saw Evita tonight from up in the Gods. I went in with a little trepidation because I don't love the musical, but I really enjoyed it, and the audience were absolutely lapping it up. Rachel Zegler is an incredible performer.
