Why does it suck so much to use the Unity virtual mouse XD God it's so painful for no reason!

The studio I've been working with is shipping soon™ and its tough cause while I'm trying to wrap up and Polish last minute things, I'm DYING to start messing with s&box. I've been watching tutorials in the background and I'm so ready to start on a project with that.

The feedback the mouse wheel of my current mouse is so bad I can't tell when the mouse wheel actually "clicks" to the next segment and it's INCREDIBLY annoying.

One aspect of Godot I like is that at least I know where to put suggestions. With Unity it's like... I want to suggest new lifecycle events that would fix a gripe of mine, but... WHERE?! Anyway... Every day I swear I'm getting pushed closer writing my own stuff with some other framework XD

I'm actively freaking out. Unity consistently crashes on start and I have no idea why, I've deleted cache, cleared Library, restarted, I'm now slowly removing all my tools, to see if one of those is somehow broken.

I take this as a sign that it's time for me to play this lol, sad there's no GOG version but a steam are fine too. Sucks that it got removed from Google Play Store. This is why mobile needs multiple allowed storefronts. This decision from Google shouldn't effectively nuke the game off Android.

So I shipped my first commercial game a couple years back under a pseudonym and it was unfortunately not successful, but I did learn a lot. The biggest problem was the game was exclusive to itch, and didn't have a lot of marketing. I also learned a lot about player experience and juice and stuff.

About a week into using Linux and my biggest complaint is mostly calendar support. I'm on KDE so downloaded Merkuro lets me set it up and then doesn't actually pull anything from the linked google calendar. Unfortunately I need Google Calendar as much as I despise Google, many jobs use it.

Found my Steam Link and updated it, It seems to max at like something between 720p and 1080p 20-30fps, but I really love this thing I used it a ton in 2017/2018. I'm going see what else I can do with it, there has to be some cool stuff.

Moved 4 of the 6 PC to Linux, just got the 2 Windows ones left, this is one going to be the hardest one T_T I am so scared of losing all my Unity projects, I don't have a USB HDD big enough to back all them up to... And I have no money to buy one or cloud storage... T_T

I am not a linux expert but I THINK I just finished setting up my raid 1 setup on my server across the room. Now we can pray it doesn't explode on me.

Conundrum: 1) Pickups are spawned as a child of "Objects" 2) The player should be decoupled, meaning it does not know about "Objects" 3) When the player grabs an item, the player parents the pickup to the head for smooth movement 4) When dropped the item should be placed under "Objects" again.
