So I shipped my first commercial game a couple years back under a pseudonym and it was unfortunately not successful, but I did learn a lot. The biggest problem was the game was exclusive to itch, and didn't have a lot of marketing. I also learned a lot about player experience and juice and stuff.

About a week into using Linux and my biggest complaint is mostly calendar support. I'm on KDE so downloaded Merkuro lets me set it up and then doesn't actually pull anything from the linked google calendar. Unfortunately I need Google Calendar as much as I despise Google, many jobs use it.

I am not a linux expert but I THINK I just finished setting up my raid 1 setup on my server across the room. Now we can pray it doesn't explode on me.

Conundrum: 1) Pickups are spawned as a child of "Objects" 2) The player should be decoupled, meaning it does not know about "Objects" 3) When the player grabs an item, the player parents the pickup to the head for smooth movement 4) When dropped the item should be placed under "Objects" again.

I have a really good video idea but holy heck do I not have the mental, or energy right now to deal with it. I'm STILL dealing with some long term health issues from when I got covid in January, so I've just been totally out of it My runway has run out however and I'm not sure how to move forward

Took some time to mess with ECS stuff which got me some more entities. Again not that I need that many. The downside here is It's become much harder to figure out like inter-entity interactions. Bullets hitting enemies? Enemies Seeing Player? ECS makes it mildly more confusing for sure.
