I'm so mad I think a cosmic particle killed one of my sticks of ram... I've blue screened 3 times today. The errors: Memory Management PFN list corrupt Attempted to write readonly memory So something says it might be a faulty ram stick but I haven't touched my Ram in years besides to dust.

Actually does anyone have any FPS controllers to share? Or any character controller code they've made? I'm curious to see other peoples character controllers! Show me the jank!

Sometimes I want to be put in touch with certain game devs just to quickly ask a high level of how they did it. Today I want to know how Eden Crafters handles the FPS controls. Its so forgiving! I somehow never get caught on geo I'd get stuck on in other games and I'm baffled.

I feel like I'm a crazy person when my opinions on media run contrary to popular opinions, because everywhere I turn I get people gushing over some game or movie I didn't lioe. I know opinions are just that and it's okay to have different opinions in matters of taste, but it still drives me nuts.

200 years later all 7k meta files for all my sprites have been added to git and I can finally push the changes I did today. I also really need to figure out the whole "LF will be replaced by CRLF the next time git touches it" thing at some point. Lol

The new godot UI theme has been merged and is on its way to be the new default! I consider godot to be one of the most important software projects of our time and it's a huge privilege to be able to contribute to it. Happy to see it grow and be used for increasingly ambitious games and apps ❤️

Went back to Twitter for a bit. I follow a few "anime clip" accounts, and I had a funny 'old man' moment: In my day you couldn't just go "@grok what anime is this?" You had to ask "Sauce?" and hope to god someone else was degenerate enough to know what it was. Imagine needing to talk to humans lol

Another thing I'm trying to solve is why Zed/OmniSharp can't see the packages I installed as part of my project, these are installed through the package manager, but it thinks the namespace doesn't exist, and I'm not sure what to do. It builds and runs in Unity and doesn't show errors there.

This comes at a good time as I'm trying Zed for Unity as well.

The funny part of "divorced dad rock", is that I've been listening to it since I was like... 16? I was divorced before I even got married, that's crazy.

Looking into my #gamedev workflow on #linux. The main challenge is #Unity or #Godot with C# I'm worried about getting an IDE set up for doing C# on Linux. I have tried several times switching IDE and I keep going back to Visual Studio. I have yet to find a setup that is overall better.

My only issue with Linux and the reason I'll be sticking with Mint for a while is that I really can't be messing around. As fun as it might be fun messing around configuring every detail of Arch I need my PC to just work and because of that even now I STILL don't feel comfortable daily driving Linux

I've done this a few years now, and i see this as a win, I usually get bogged down around 14 or 15 and lose my willpower to keep going so I think a smaller number is awesome and will help me stay motivated.
