holy shit I just remembered that I used to have to call a phone number to get the accurate time. I distinctly remember putting a quarter in a pay phone to get the time because I didn't have a watch and needed to know the time to make a bus.

one of my favorite pastimes is texting people shit they won't find nearly as funny as I do and cackling like a demon at three in the morning.

eggs aren't 'easy' to cook. they're extremely temperamental (TIL how to spell temperamental) and incredibly easy to overcook. and given the myriad ways in which to prepare them, there are many different techniques to employ (and hence, practice). if you make one good egg thing, you better than most.
