I have received the first printed version of Gilmoril for review and checks before finalising and sending it to the actual printers! I'm so very excited!

Sending stuff off to an editor always feels weird. Without fail I end up thinking "Well I don't want to bother them so I'll give it a twice over before I send it." And sure enough, suddenly I have doubled my workload for no reason.

Because the game is now at the editing stage and being handled by someone else, I've lost the thing I'd normally do in my spare time. Which is write more stuff. It's nice, but also a little upsetting...

I am currently redoing the site inductions at work. So I'm distracting myself. Not because they are a waste of time. But because what companies choose to put in them is largely unhelpful and there to tick boxes, rather than keep us safe.

The hardest part about writing a quick start guide is that the game is actually quite interconnected. So by not including certain things, you might miss out on the context for certain parts of the game. But if I include everything it's not a quick start. Life is hard.
