Now published and free to download! 'Law and Justice in the 1950s' is a fantastic collection, edited by Fiona Cownie and Rosemary Auchmuty. My chapter is on the Wolfenden Report, homosexuality and women - others cover everything from legal education to Beeching to London smog.

Henrik Ibsen season on BBC4. You may wonder why he's so popular, well it's because he helps develop the concept of exposition. He doesn't invent it but before him Drama tended to be you watching an event and all the plot happens between the start and finish of the play.

I have a dose and am currently awake after having an asthma attack. I've taken the steroids and had a go on the reliever with spacer. Now I'm at the breathing but shaky point. For the love of crumb cake don't catch that dose.

Been finding it hard to find a new wearable project. I'm stash busting and am realising that much of my early buys were absolute garbage. I had yarn for the liquorice allsort blanket but never made it up. So I'm trying a granny jumper instead. Bloody camera is getting the colours right though

One thing I've learned from crochet is I can't count without batching. I am very lucky if my first row count is accurate. I usually have to fix it by removing cast ons at the start of fudging the first row. People have suggested stitch markers but it's still a brain melt.

The use of the generic term AI in this headline is obscuring the point somewhat. It was specifically the use of a branded product made by THE BIGGEST NAME IN SOFTWARE, which is being bundled into everything and rammed down our throats. Microsoft Co-Pilot.

Was not happy with the ribbing on my new gloves. So I looked better techniques online and ripped it all back. I'm now doing Slipped Rib. It's taking a while but it looks super neat

The PhD proposal is submitted. I would've submitted yesterday but I bought myself a related book as a treat then had to go back and frog a whole section. I also think writers should steal more words from crafters.
