Long convoluted dreams in which I was not just attending but hosting a "school reunion weekend" at my late father's farm, including converting the old milking parlour into a dance floor. Almost nobody recognised or spoke to me and they were all loud and extroverted. My brain is very mean to me 😆

Matariki is my favourite holiday here in New Zealand. Time to remember those we've lost, appreciate the present, and set intentions for the future, plus a day off work for most folk? I think I can get behind that. I offered up some food in the form of baking, which I have hardly done in years.

I'm at that awkward phase of a new job where I feel like I'm not performing adequately now that I've had three whole weeks to learn a whole new business domain, understand what's being built for a major new software platform, and get to know a huge group of new people, as well as do my actual job.
