Huh: wifeâs â wives 1st thought: This kind of phrasal/lexical speech error is rare! 2nd thought: Maybe itâs more common that we realize; itâs just that most plurals are regular! 3rd thought: Surely errors like mouseâs/footâs â mice/feet *are* rare, but irregular voicing with /-z/ may be a different!
