The farming loop is more or less back. I don't really want to bog down players when charging up spells to use in the field so they're free to move around while doing so. Three spells have been added that will greatly speed things up once upgraded. #gamedev #indiedev #smolmushroomancer

As part of adding npcs to the game, I've now come to the point where I have to decide how they communicate with the player. I'm so over games where the selling point is "make difficult choices!" First of all no thank you, I do that several times a day and I hate it every time but also, this is the worst way to chase replayability since every game had to have a good/evil path as filtered through the morality of game devs.

I think the mainline Pokémon entries should have stayed in this style.

I'm so sick of seeing AI disclaimers like this. The solution to not having the budget for voice acting isn't to use AI, it's to not have voice acting at all! Games don't need VO to be good! By jamming in slopvoices, you're not making your game better, you're making it worse and reprehensible!
