When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

Got to enjoy some time doing night photography at the Philadelphia Zoo for Luminature. A few of the performers (my friends) were kind enough to pose for me. And, I was lucky to capture the Bubble Magician, Meadow, for her nighttime show!

I'd seen this tunnel in the advertisements of Luminature. Ari and Madi were kind enough to help me get the shots I was going for and made a dream shot happen! Asking these two to join me on the test of my walk through the event was absolutely one of the best decisions I made that night!

I try to approach folks to see if they are comfortable being in photos when I feel they have a great shot. Turns this person was an individual that my friend had taken pictures of the previous week. It just shows that a camera and a willingness to engage folks can lead to connections being made!

I want to share with everyone a poster for the January 31 2025 Art Battle Philly. This is special for me because IT'S MY PHOTO! They invited back as an event photographer, and they used one of my pieces as their advertisement! This is a huge accomplishment for me. I feel so seen and recognized.

Over the weekend, I got my first chance to check out the Pancake & Booze Art Show on its trip through Philadelphia. I will definitely be going back next time!

Spent some time at the Philadelphia Christmas Village on Thanksgiving day. It was well worth it for some nice street photography.

Took some time away from fire photography editing because I needed a change of pace. Now I'm feeling refreshed and ready to return. Here's some of the results!

Time to return to fire photography! It's been a I've learned quite a lot about editing since I last worked on my fire shots. Here we...go!

Went to the opening of the Philadelphia heistmas village and had a mini photo shoot with a friend of mine. I think we capture the essence of the beginning of the holiday season!

This is by far my favorite shot of this series. I was on my way out when I heard they were tossing paper to capture some action in the shot with @madisongrebe. Low light action shots are what I'm working on with my style. So, I got into the group and got the shot. This one came out perfectly!

@catyudaintea was the last person I shot before heading out of this class. I have to say that this was up there with my favorite images to review, edit, and just enjoy.

@bex_yurivna had a beautiful vision of combining their keyboards, cords, and hair to create a connected image. While I wasn't able to get everything they desired, I felt this one came out incredibly well! Thank you so much for the collaboration on this image!

@officialchasteen was absolutely on point with every single shot I took. The ones that came out the best all felt like they could have been album or magazine covere. This made me feel super confident in my work. Thank you so much for your help with this.

yagiebk was a phenomenal model. The clothing and vibe were perfect. I used things I learned from other classes that weekend to add mood to this photo. Using a person in the background to add a bit more of a story felt great. It was a happy little accident and an in-between moment. And it paid off.

formento.formento taught a class on Fine Art and then had a look into their creative process. They taught a phenomenal class onfine art and then had a wonderful look into their creative process. Sccarlet0cass did the rope, as they always do! And lexi_lou_thur was the model. This team was magical.

I'm going to head into the city on Sunday to hang out and do street photography at the Christmas village. If anyone is up for joining me, shoot me a message or leave a comment!
