It took me no time at all once I downloaded and opened Quiche to set it as the default browser and line up a customized toolbar (just one of its excellent features). This thing is near perfect (maybe perfect?) — huge kudos to the developer.

Been using @quicheindustries’s Quiche Browser on my phone after learning about it from Daring Fireball, and what a great piece of software! So user friendly, so full of thoughtful, useful touches. Top notch.

I was drawn to Quiche for its lack of 4 annoyances: 1. No VPN 2. No AI 3. No Crypto Wallet 4. No suggested services I get browser companies need to monetise, but here I am paying for a browser so I can support a developer who has no interest in monetising at the expense of user experience.

Great news for me as an indie browser maker: Safari is rumored to be rebuilt around AI features in iOS 27! If even Apple joins the Browser AI-Enshittification League, I can’t think of a better opportunity for Quiche Browser to stand out as the radically minimalist/no-nonsense alternative to Safari.

i honestly really love quiche - i didn't think it was possible to really enjoy a mobile browser but the built-in ad blocker alone has completely changed my life. no one should have to raw dog the internet on their phone just because they don't have access to a VPN/proxy

I’m dead set on the direction for Quiche Browser in 2026: Doubling down on the qualities people keep highlighting in App Store reviews, the ones that set it apart in a world full of browsers that all look the same. Minimalism, heart, polish, lightness. This feels like the only way forward.

Today’s Quiche Browser update finally fixes the crash when using Find on Page in the Classic theme. With the last critical iOS 26 issue now out of the way, I can finally move on to the next big feature. It’s a significant effort to ship it the way I imagine it, so thanks for your patience 🙇‍♂️

Quiche Browser’s default favorites reflect the web I like: good design, good writing, good content. And people seem to notice ❤︎ In other browsers, default favorites are companies paying to be included (Amazon, Expedia...), or garbage like Facebook or X. I can’t think of a worse first impression.

While designing Comfort Mode in Quiche Browser, a tricky problem I had to be thoughtful about: When you hold your phone in your right hand, favorite icons in the top left are harder to reach than ones on the right. Search suggestions don’t have this problem since they span the width of the screen.

Twitter recently started force-opening links in Safari when you’re browsing from another iOS browser, for no reason other than staying on brand and being awful at everything it does. Quiche Browser now blocks that.

Per popular request, Quiche Browser’s tab overview now has a proper “Done” button in the bottom-right corner. Somehow I thought no one needed it… but I was clearly wrong 😅 Also! The tabs menu has been reordered to make switching to private tabs faster and to prevent accidental deletes.

One week since #LiquidGlass landed, and only one third-party iOS browser has fully adopted it 😇 I worked all summer to make Quiche Browser feel right at home on #iOS26. Surprising to see bigger teams so slow on such a major design update. People really do notice when apps look outdated.

i simply cannot sing the praises of Quiche enough. It is so damn customizable and really feels like the best iteration of a WebKit browser can be.

Back to using Quiche, it felt just a bit too flat before and the simple material switch really does it for me. It’s so good and so fun and fast to tweak, can’t praise it enough
