Another attempt at securing the plenum on the #Triumph 2 x M6 eye bolts adapted to fit the manifold, the plenum end of the rubber connectors secured with a smear of tiger seal, and the whole lot held firmly by stainless ties around the plenum and through the eye bolts. #weirdcarbs #classiccarbs

I've been working on a way to secure the plenum on the #Triumph, which has a habit of coming loose from the inlet manifold when it gets hot. M6 bolts through a few of these holes in the manifold will secure D-rings, and stainless cable ties wrapped around the plenum through them may do the job 👍

For the second time in as many weekends, the plenum is off the Triumph. It keeps popping off the rubber 'elbows' that join it to the throttle bodies. Tried a thin smear of Blue Hylomar as a semi-tacky adhesive around the pipes this time - might as well have used grease for all the good it did 🙄 ⬇️

From foobar to fab. Day 1 of my 4-day stint on the #Triumph sees the air leak cured, and both front tie bar bushes replaced with new. They had failed in a serious way - has anyone else see polybushes do this before? New polys fitted, handling restored. Happy Jim 😊 #weirdcarbs #carbluesky

I've also discovered the reason behind some odd steering behaviour that the #Triumph had developed before I began the EFi conversion. Looks like the drag link bushes are collapsing. The offside (pic) is worse than the nearside - both need replacement ASAP 👍 #WeirdCarBS #ClassicCarBS #CarBluesky

Given that my last drive of the #Triumph resulted in an "Error 8" - related to getting too hot - from the Innovate LC-1 wideband, I was surprised to see it power on and sync up OK with the ECU today - the LED is solidly on, indicating ready. I thought I'd cooked it to death, so I'll take that 👍

This afternoon, I have been building up a relay box for behind the #Triumph 's centre console. 1 relay allows the ECU to drive the choke lamp when the engine is cold. The rest are accessory loads, all fairly low-amperage but sadly the fuse holder cabling doesn't know this... #weirdcarbs
