Spring's equinox brings delicate light, pouring around every curve to soothe her quaking bones. Heat, warm and sweet, should be bursting along rugged skin and teeming flesh. #HorrorWritersChat Since I tend to write (and read) cosmic horror, I enjoy all the creative possibilities found in a genre not limited by a human understanding of reality. Plus, I think it's fun to dive into the human psyche and how it's affected by the unknowable.

#HorrorWritersChat As a boring ol' planner, I have to have backstory, even if it's not revealed in the story. It helps me know the characters better. But in regard to the plot, I keep it mysterious. The reader can have questions at the end and that's ok. Preferred even.

#HorrorWritersChat Horror can absolutely exist for its own sake. Totally fine with that. But having said that, I do find morality comes into play in my stories. Bad things happen to good people, but its how those good people react that makes them interesting to me. Also, it's fun creating evil!

Hi, #HorrorWritersChat I write supernatural and cosmic horror. I've been in the writing doldrums for a year but FINALLY committing to the idea that my last novel will have two sequels. The three books will span Edgar Allan Poe's life with fictionalized, spooky ideas from his stories. First is done.

My choice would be Elmira Royster (who really was Edgar Allan Poe's girlfriend at 15) because she is brave, resourceful, and much more likely to kick ass than Edgar's other friend, Robert. (I'll cheat and say Edgar, himself, too, 'cause, of course.)
